FactSet Global Filings defines a high yield issuer as a corporate issuer with:
- An S&P or Moody's issuer rating below investment grade (below BBB- for S&P; below Baa3 for Moody's)
- No issuer rating from either agency
Our definition of a corporate issuer is an issuer which is not in any of the following Primary Industries:
- supranational
- sovereign
- province or state or county
- municipality
- state agency
- commerical banking
- investment banking
- retail banking
- bank holding company
- special purpose vehicle
- insurance
- funds management
